Many years ago, I represented a police officer who had lost it during an arrest. The man had put his young son's hand on the hot stove burner repeatedly as punishment. There was also clear evidence of sexual abuse. The officer had a son the same age, and he lost it and beat the shite out of the guy. The other officers were a little lax is breaking up the beating.

There was never a prosecution. Frankly, in that County, no one gave a shite. The civil rights case didn't go anywhere either.
