Could cut a lot of ways. The MacIntyre talked died coincidently immediately following his last visit here and his announcing 2 visits to Bama forthcoming. Now with Clemson out its reasonable to assume it's a LSU/Bama battle at the moment. Problem is we like Underwood more. If MacIntyre commits first do we pass for the opportunity to chase Underwood or take him? For MacIntyre the downside is Bama has Sayin who by most accounts is the most likely to succeed of all qbs in the current class. All this excitement for kids in which many will never set foot on the field as a starter for the school they committed to originally. The portal gives a ton more leash in regards to recruiting HS qbs. The big ones aren't committing to sit for 3/4 years waiting their turn. The turn around for re-recruitment is gonna be short.

We are building a recruiting machine right now, putting up the wall gives up ability to recruit nationally all over now. The Tiger is back on the hunt

Exactly this. Developing QB’s out of high school seems more a necessary sales point for a program than an essential element for success. Who ultimately sees the field for a program has little to do with where an Elite 11 QB initially signs.
