My dog has very bad allergies. Apoquel works great. (Nothing else really worked).
You can check into getting the prescription filled at places like Costco. I don't know if it's cheaper than the $2.50 you mentioned.

I don't believe it will be a regular pharmacy, I could not find it a one when I looked. I did get other pet meds from the regular pharmacy and they were cheaper.
