Everyone laughs at me for driving a Hyundai Sonata. I laugh every time their note comes out

Our household income is well over 300k and I’m about to buy an Elantra.

I bought a used 2015 Hyundai Accent in January 2017 that was a former rental car with 40K miles. I paid cash, just under 10K. I haven’t had a single mechanical issue. Best purchase I’ve ever made. I’m not much of a car enthusiast, I just want to get from point A to point B.

I drive a 2005 Toyota Camry with 140,000 miles on it. Insurance is cheap gas is cheap and I haven’t had a car note in 15 years. These morons with $700 to $1000 notes on depreciating assets are idiots. I use the extra money to max out 401k/Roth/HSA.
