It's the population below that which gives all the stereotypes (and spends the major $ chasing the dream). This population basically destroyed rec options and created the culture of perceived inclusion that's a black hole for so many kids/families who don't have a shot at playing HS ball.

Yep. The keeping up with the joneses mindset got them where it’s at today. “My baby is good enough to play travel ball” even though he’s not.

Orgs (perfect game, otc, 2d) can easily force their hand and go back to Rex by just simply not offering AA anymore but it’s a cash cow. Don’t blame them from a business standpoint.

But AA & AAA is where the stereotype comes from. Majors is actually competitive baseball. Even though now Majors is starting to get slightly watered down. The new elite is “National” teams.

high aaa is still good ball especially 12 and below.

and yea big difference between state level majors team (top 15-20 teams in state) and national level majors. that has gotten insane with the national teams

i know a kid that is going to a top level d1 program and since he was 10 has been getting picked up in private jets and going to play all over the country for national teams. now playing for usa prime national team but used to play for a team that was owned by a billionaire and would pick him up and fly him where ever
