When a lane is ending (two lanes turning into one lane) and there's traffic in the lane where everyone is merging...what pisses me off the most is the driver who doesn't get over until the very last second and skips over everyone else who made the responsible decision to get over earlier.
You are supposed to wait until the end and zipper merge, if traffic police like you wouldn't be d bags and let people merge in it wouldnt be an issue

I'm guilty. I do slow down at the yields of a turnabout. I've almost been smashed by some jackass doing 20+ over the limit and is not stopping. twice.
Turn signals seemingly don't exist for some vehicles.

quote:You can zipper merge well before waiting to the last possible 50 feet to do it. That's the problem. We see it on the part if I-10 that goes to one lane eastbound. If you wait to the last second, then everybody is gonna have to lock up the brakes to let the car in at the last second so the chain reactions of locking brakes up happen and that's where everybody sitting there with no movement for a minute comes from.

As opposed to doing a zipper merge on the curved part of that section and jumping in front of an 18 wheeler that takes a little longer to get going without having to use your brakes and the line is constantly moving rather than going ten feet stopping 30 seconds going 10 feet stopping 30 seconds. I'd rather be moving constantly than that start/stop bullshite.
