My mom told me that I was Inuit, and despite my growing up with blond hair, I never questioned it. Imagine my devastation and shame when I found out, in my early sixties, that I was nothing more than a Euro-American genocidal colonizer.

Growing up, me and many of friends were told we had a full blooded Indian great grandmother. I attributed my impressive hunting, fishing and outdoor skills to this. Turns out, I'm 99% western European
