After Lee got boo'd off the feild and benched the remainder of the first half I feel like he knew his back was against the wall and human nature makes us our best when we have no option but to succeed. I think a major reason why Lee came out and made some great plays in the second half was due to the booing and benching. I am glad Miles put him on the bench so he could think about it all and soak it in.

The fact that their were only 20,000 in the stands probably made him a little more comfortable, since that was probably the negatigers that left the game.

Yeah, you must be right. Lee isn't playing well because we DON'T BOO HIM ENOUGH.

How could we forget? JR and MF wouldn't have been near the QB's they became were it not for constant booing from the fans during home games.

Right.

Much thanks to all the boo-birds who booed Lee for the 1st half and who LEFT the game. It was obviously those boo-birds who helped Lee win the game and not the 20k Tiger fans who actually stayed behind to cheer him on.

No. He succeeded in spite of the abuse because he believes in himself. What other possible reason could prompt someone to shrug off all the crap, get back out on the field and perform the way he did during the fourth quarter? If the kid didn't have major confidence in himself, we'd never have won that game. That's one mentally tough kid out there.

Look I'm just using an idea that you do your best when you have to. I am not saying to ever boo him again, nor am I saying we should have ever boo'ed him. I am saying I feel like it may have helped him realize that he needed to be flawless in the second half and I feel that he improved in the 2nd half. I don't think he really missed a pass affter the 8 min mark in the 3rd. He had incompletions, but they were the right play at the time.

I have said from the beginning he is our best option and you can't blame the kid for that.

If it does not break you it will make you stronger????? I was booed before at home in a different sport (booed on the road was an honor)and I am ashamed to say it made me feel sorry for myself at first. I then used it as motivation and became a crowd favorite and could do no wrong. It was a breaking point and some go the wrong way. Hopefully this will work out for J. Lee.

I agree.

Les shouldn't have thanked the fans who stayed, he should have thanked the boo-birds that left.

I think Lee played well because he is actually pretty talented and let's face it, the pressure is kind of off when you're down by 28.

I think that for the last few weeks, his confidence has been almost totally shot and so, when the game is in the balance and close, he has been pressing.

But, when you're down by 28, there really is no "pressing" necessary. I mean if he were totally straight with you, I suspect he'd tell you that when it was 31-3, he figured the Tigers were done.

Oddly, that really would make you relax.
