My contingent stayed for the entire game including my 76 year old mother, for goodness sake! This included the Alma Mama afterwards. That’s a neat new tradition. I like that a lot.

I never understood the reason for going to a game and leaving early to “beat the traffic” or because they are sucking at whatever point. I think the folks that left that game before and right after halftime should have to turn in their season tickets. Generally speaking, you BR guys don’t know what its like to not have the opportunity to see the Tigers in person every game. I don’t give a sh*t that it was cold and windy. Layer up, bring a jacket, buy an LSU beanie, bring some gloves. Act like you know how to sit outside in the cold for 3 hours. Half of those guys & girls there would sit in a deer stand or duck blind for 8 hours trying to kill Bambi or Donald, so I know they know how to stay warm when it’s cold.

Of course I stayed for the whole game when we got trounced by Miami that time and Florida that other time. My wife to be was pissed, but she got over it!

And shame on the Tiger Fans for booing Les Miles & Jarrett Lee. We won the F’ing National Championship last year. You can’t give the guy one year to regroup after he manned up and kicked that cancerous Perilloux off the team? And people are calling for LSU to get rid of Miles?!?!? Are those people completely out of their gourds? I’m sorry but LSU fans, in general, SUCK and are the biggest bunch of bandwagon jumping on & bailing out bunch of MF’s I’ve ever seen in my life. Say what you will about TAMU & their silly traditions & how weird they can be sometimes, but those guys don’t bail on their team when the going gets tough. They rally behind them during the game and bitch afterwards.

Just my two cents from Houston. OK, I’ll get off my soapbox.

Me either - especially since all those idiots DIDN'T BEAT THE TRAFFIC. From what I was told by friends living in the area, the traffic was thickest during halftime and the start of the third.

On the other hand - there was practically no traffic at the end of the game.

We get it alot of people are pissed at others for leaving early while some consider "true fans" the ones who stayed. :beatdeadhorse:

Why don't we make you a bronze trophy for you and your grandmother and set aside a day and have a parade for you and the others that "stayed the whole game." It's a football game, it's not like you were in the middle of surgery and left early.

I have season tickets, but i did not go to the game for other reasons, but i personally don't give 2 shits who stays and who goes. If you pay the money, the tickets are yours to do what you will.

So you stayed the game. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL.

I divide the people who left into two groups.

Non-true tiger fans - these include the bandwagoners, and annoying teenage girls who have never been to a game in their lives and who spend the entire game socializing and talking about the dude sitting from of them (literally behind his back) because he's the only fan they can see yelling on defense in the 1st quarter.

True tiger fans who are regretting their decision, who realize they've made a mistake, and who will never repeat that mistake again.

I think most of the people who left probably fall into the latter category. This could have the effect of actually energizing our fan base - as the tiger fans who left early seek to make up for it on Saturday against Ole Piss.

The most direct input the fans have in influencing the coach is deciding whether to stay or to leave the game. I imagine many fans were fed up with watching a group of ill prepared young athletes get embarrassed by a sub-par opponent. The season ticket holders, who pay everyone's salary, showed Les their displeasure by leaving early.

I think most of the season ticket holders didn't even show up. They gave away their tickets or sold them (for what, 5 bucks?) - it resulted in a lot of people at the game who rarely go to games and who aren't really into football, or, you know, yelling on defense.
