Look at Coleman. He was injured in February of last year and it took until the last 2 weeks of April this year before we saw him again, 13-14 months later.
Edwards last pitched April 7. If he had TJ the very next week, he'd more than likely miss all of next season. He could stand to wait it out to try to avoid surgery, and if he does, in fact need TJ, he can have that over the summer and still be ready for the 2025 season.
