3.5 Turbo, for best acceleration and towing, especially tuned. Reliable as long as you aren’t a sissy and change the oil on time with 5W40 T6 Rotella and fix the coolant and oil leaks.
As far as leaks, these pieces of shite are nothing but plastic quick connect fittings so it’s just a matter of time.

I would be hesitant to use the 5w40 rotella in the newer turbo's. The oil is amazing, but the tiny amount of oil it burns is going to be murder on the cats.
I would assume a 0w40 mobil1 would work well without the risk of the zinc on the cats.
Mobil1 definitely seems to help the longevity of poorly made timing chain tensioners.
On my own engine, I'm changing the oil every 10k and changing the filter every 20k.
