LSU fans turning on Players

Man all yall running your mouths have no clue what you're talking about. Yall are the same ones who bashed me over two years ago when he committed, and told me if he was any good then he wouldn't have had to go Juco. The same ones who didn't really care to see him after games when he came outta the locker room. Then you were the same ones who hopped on his bandwagon after he came in and picked up Lafell's slack last year against Auburn. The same ones who started the Byrd sign with your hands. The Ones who praised him for everything he was doing last year when putting his heart on the line for yall and his team. You know the one everybody loved as long as he and LSU were winning championships. Now after a little heartache this year you sorry sacks of shite with find anything to blame it on. Byrd puts his heart on the line. He is frustrated with some thing that are going on, but never will he just give up on a play. Watch every play. Byrd is a lot of the time running deep routes wide open only to turn around and see lafell dancing back and forth with the ball. (not bashing Lafell) Lee got comfortable with Lafell in Auburn and ever since then he is Lee's first look. Look at a bunch of the short screens Lafell has broken for big plays, Byrd is out in front of him throwing blocks. Check out some of the App St. highlights, Byrd's best play of the day was a block. The guy gives his all on plays. He wasn't even suppose to play against Ms. St. this year because of his injured ankle, but when the coaches told him they needed him he stepped up and caught a slant for a 46 yard td. He is the same guy who got leveled last weekend on the first series, and then was right back out there on the next series. So all you bashing him right now, Please as one of his true fans, do not get back on his bandwagon EVER AGAIN. The guy has come from so little to make so much of his self. If you knew the true BYRD you would know that he is no "primodona" he hasn't gotten the big head. The guy still knows where he came from, and is one of the nicest most humble GREAT football players that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
So heres to you BYRD. Thank you for all your greatness as an LSU TIGER, and may all your future endeavors work out for the best..

Then tell him to drop the shitty body language and the attitude...

That might just be the LONGEST paragraph I have EVER seen

Yeah..he gets a real "E" for effort for his efforts to block last night. It was pitiful.

Thats why it took me so many attempts to get into LSU

well all you that bash people behind your screen names should go to the indoor facility one by one and tell every player what you think of them. They are always there so you'll be able to find them I promise you.

There is one rule I stand by on this board. I never criticize a player if they give 100%. See Flynn and Lafell last year and J Lee this year. That's how I do it.
But when you aren't a good teammate, you have a shitty attitude, and you so outwardly show up another teammate (no less you being a senior showing up a freshman and doing nothing to help him), then that's where I've got a problem.

No just can't stand to see someone who puts all of it on the line get bashed no matter what player it is. I'm the same guy who cheers for every player that plays at LSU

You might wanna check with the team before you say that..

Tell him to dive next time. Giving your all is giving your all. Everybody knows the QB situation is screwed up, so be a leader and suck it up. Maybe this isn't the year he could have had due to Lee being more comfortable with LaFell, but I didn't see Buster Davis or Doucet crying cause JR threw to Bowe more.

Okay...
1) He didn't even act like he wanted to be out there last night.
2) He gave no efforts on his blocks.
3) He didn't even go full out for what would have been a TD pass
4) He was yelling at his coaches.
5) He was showing up his quarterback instead of trying to talk to him to get on the same page...
Need I say more. And you're telling me that THAT GUY is giving his all? I know you're a big D Byrd fan, and that's fine, but at some point you have to be objective about shite.

A senior should show some leadership and not show up his fellow teammates. That's where that comment came from. His actions last night were not what a good senior teammate would do. That's what I base it off of.
He doesn't show his coaches any respect either. I mean he was yelling at them last night and he yelled at them when we played at South Carolina and was benched for a few plays because of it...

puts what on the line. he is playing football. he is not in Iraq with an assualt rifle fighting ragheads. he is privelaged to play at LSU. he owes LSU, not the other way around
Posted on 11/16/08 at 2:34 pm to pellietigersaint
I didn't say he owed LSU anything. Nor did I compare football to war. What in the hell are you talking about? I'm just sayin we have some fickle fans.
Posted on 11/16/08 at 2:36 pm to cord1321
my point is that it is clear to everyone that he is playing for himself. its a team game. the team runs in the locker room, he walks in

I think all of the fans here criticizing the players should put down your playstation and quit pretending you have any understanding of what the team goes through. Stop thinking because you can beat the computer on Xbox, that you are anywhere near the level of our players. This garbage is starting to look like a Glenn Guilbeau article.

Again, I don't criticize production because these guys are college kids. I criticize people who don't give their full effort or who try to hurt/tear down their fellow teammates. That is why I am saying what I say about Byrd. He is suppose to be a senior..
