Would agree that Lake View and LP are, likely, the best two options with a couple teenagers - hitting the zoo and biking down Lakeshore Trail will give the kids some pretty fun skyline views, alongside the water (beautiful color during the summer months).

We visited Chicago a few years ago. I highly recommend seeing the German U-505 WW2 submarine exhibit in the Museum of Science and Technology. You can walk thru the submarine. Very interesting!
