Hoops,

I appreciate you commenting on this. Helps me out alot with my wife. I didn't want tancel, because Wrigley is a bucket list thing for me, but I also wanted her to feel safe as we went. I know bad things happen everywhere, and it's just the world we live in today unfortunately. But thanks again.

I also live here and second everything hoops said.

Would also add that depending on what your travel-style is, you could stay in a neighborhood. It will mean either a)an expensive boutique hotel or b) and airbnb.

Most tourists stay downtown because a) that's where the hotels are, b) downtown is what people think of when they think of a city, c) they are traveling with kids and that's where all the museums are.

But Chicago's life is in the neighborhoods. Even more so in the summer.

100%! Something I always try communicating in these Chicago threads. I understand many weekend visitors like to stay downtown, and it's a completely acceptable option for the museums, boat tour, etc., but exploring neighborhoods is such a good option - it's where everyone goes out to bars, restaurants, etc. Definitely the lifeblood of Chicago.
