If you want to do a multi-day backpacking hike, a really awesome one is to hike from Red's Meadow to Yosemite Valley on a section of the John Muir trail.
You can leave a car at Yosemite Valley and the ride the park transportation bus over to Mammoth and down to Red's meadow. Then hike 4-5 days back to the car. Need permits obviously and weather might be an issue depending on how late you go.
