Bingo. It was never taste or cost that made people identify with one light beer over the other. It was just marketing - NASCAR, commercials, Coors Twins
Ultra marketed themselves as healthy, carb friendly and made a ton of money off flavored water
Marketing is so damn important in the Beer segment, especially in the light beer subset.
