just don’t think there’s a critical mass of people who will stop buying bud light because of this. You have to a.) buy bud light b.) be very online to even know about this c.) have a strong enough negative opinion about this person being spokesman for bud light in order to stop buying it. I think it’s a pretty benign or net positive move for a brand like bud light- you get the ESG bonus but take little hit if any on the sales. 95% of what differentiates bud light as a brand is that it’s cheap and easy to drink. 5% is everything else including whatever TikTok person is shilling it. The fact that a brand like bud light is doing this is because the price of doing it does not yet exceed the cost. Or maybe it does? Doubt we will ever have any solid data on it either way. I went to my local pub on Friday night, have been going there years. I switched to Yuengling earlier in week on Mon and told bartender that was now my staple (they always just served me BL without asking normally). Friday I asked the manager how her sales were doimg for BL amd she said saleswere down over 80%. She also said she’s had to get special deliveries for extra Yuengling every day. One thing she also told me is simce BL is cheaper her margins are lower and she makes more money selling Yuengling than BL. So she was happy about it. All my friends who drank BL cnanged to mostly Yuengling or a few to other beers like Miller. Thats one pub and a small sample size but I think its a fair idea of whats goimg on.

Like I said this is the easiest change to make. And too boot I learned my habit of BL kept me from trying other beers and that Yuengling is a great beer. I have zero reason to ever go back. Better beer is better beer.

Miller has a very long history of gay marketing, starting in San Francisco in the mid-1970s with sponsorship of the leather-oriented Folsom Street Fair and later Pride Parades.
