re: Can we talk about AAU prices

My son is in the 8th grade plays on a regional level and we have to pay tourney fees which is about $500 per team per tourney and on top of that they charge the same parents $15 each per day to get in an watch the games. Some places might $20 or $25 per person per day. One weekend cost us about $100-140 or so. To put it in context, the admission rate in my area this past season for high school games was $10 per game.

Luckily for me, my son has a decent coach and is getting something out of it at least.
