If you have family or a good friend outside of Louisiana that has Directv you can do what I did. I live in Iowa and I have Directv, My best friend lives in Louisiana and it works. You Buy a Satellite Dish and Receiver off Ebay. You have the person outside of the state add it to there account, it will cost them 5.00/month. You tell them the line has been ran when the dish was installed. You receive the same programming as the other person. No different then bringing it to tailgate.

Tip #2. Try ordering with your remote, as soon as it confirms you will receive it, unplug the phone line and you won't be chargedfor the game.

Order equipment off ebay? Just purchase the damn game. No need to make it complicated. Its LSU - Troy State anyways..

Thats BS.

But just order the freaking game it really is not that much. The Ticket to go to the game is more than watching it on TV.

Yeah, you might not get charged for the game immediately, but the next time you plug the phone line in you will be charged.

Won't get away with it for long, the card will only hold so many PPV purchases on it before it requires you to plug in the phone and "unload" it. When you do, you'll get a big arse bill for all the back ordered PPV you purchased while the phone was unplugged.

Only way to avoid that is to keep buying new receiver/card combos each time the PPV limit is met.

You aren't listening to what I'm saying...the card stores your purchases on it, and when it gets to a certain # (not sure the current limit, let's say 10 movies/games)...the receiver will tell you the "card is full" and you must plug in the phone to offload the memory of the purchases (it doesn't have much memory on it). When it does this, you will get a big bill for all your back purchases.

Also, you can't sell the unit, because the card stores that info and anyone who buys it will have to pay off that balance before it'll be activated.

Funny you say that, because anyone who has any experience with DTV or DN will know I'm right. I've been fooling around with them for 15 years, but keep doing what you're doing and see what happens.
