Is there any way to find out what is his ratio of strike outs looking vs. strike outs swinging?
Just curious about this metric.

Thanks so much! Didn't realize that was there. Will be following this in the future.
Can't rely on K Lady, all her K's are the same!

Also worth mentioning from Mikie and JMitch.

School record for Ks is 202 by Ben McDonald. He averaged 13.6Ks per 9 innings.

Skenes is averaging 17.8.

They “ran the numbers” but if Skenes continues at this pace, he breaks the school record before reaching Omaha.

Assuming Skenes has 11 more starts, and averages 7 innings a start, he'll need to average 1.7ks an inning to reach 202 before Omaha. He could certainly do it.

I really think Tennessee is going to be aggressive early in the counts and its possible Skenes makes it through 8 innings because he doesn't have a high pitch count but also doesn't have the same number of K's he usually does.

8 innings 8-9 strike outs.

Might actually be better due to the amount of innings. Could setup the bullpen to have all arms available cause whoever throws the 9th could easily pitch again this weekend.
