OK. I as told they still haven't been given full funding on the first unit yet. It's been almost 2.5 years since they announced the S/D of Convent and no new steel is going up even though they were originally projected to have Renewable Diesel on the market in 2025.
According to my sources, there haven't been any internal announcements on the funding of Convent projects.
The only thing I could see them doing in the short term is build CCS for those two SMR units at the site to make "Blue" H2.
Shell has lost billions in profits in the last 2 years stemming form the rapid transition to get out of traditional fuels and processing.
