There’s a way to recapture this without the need for hard copies of movies. I would very much prefer to go to a physical store and browse there before picking a digital rental I can access at home than spending an hour on my couch arguing about what to watch before ultimately deciding we don’t want to watch anything actually

Well, in 1993 you generally had a few good movies as options most of the time. Now not so much. The 90s was the last great decade of feature films.
