I suspect these cuts are occurring for some of the AWS services that aren't pulling in enough cash.

It absolutely is but whenever we’ve had a meeting with AWS they always seemed to have a bloated team. Although Amazon could be shifting to the partner-led model for their larger implementations.

That was an amazingly smart pivot in their business model. I’d be interested see the revenue generated by each of their different services.

I bet AWS is at the top. Many companies don’t even have physical data centers anymore.
