Our only chance is demographics. Their one child (and it's OK to drown your daughters so you can have a boy) policy is a huge problem. They have billions of people but few under 30 women. They are the oldest society in the world, this might sink them.

If not for 15-20 million illegals flooding into the country the past 15 years our population growth would be near 0 or low single digit’s ….the last 2-3 generations are not reproducing more than 1.5 children for every two adults.
