In the 70's (with long care facilities in every state and major MSA (maybe 100K MSA then) you did not see homeless at all across the USA. When I was younger I was all over the USA back then.
As I actually have been dealing with this a lot since the 90's I really tend to doubt this
Personally, I think both sides lie on this issue but if you live in a decent sized city and know some of the judges who deal with this daily talk to them first before you believe the Democrat or Republican numbers.
