Why are white people obsessed with soaking dishes? Yes I get that some pots and pans need to be soaked a little but if you wash dishes right after you eat, its not a problem. Theres a dishwasher now too. So the soaking part is just another thing to be lazy right after you eat and get to it later?

Habit more than anything. I don't let them sit all day. More of a holding spot for when I washing dishes.
