re: What’s the obsession with single basin kitchen sinks in new construction and remodeling?

When we did our remodel last year, we put in a 16x29" sink. In the garage hallway, across from the laundry (no laundry sink in that room). It's awesome from soaking extra dirty clothes, rinsing dog poop off shoes, cleaning fish or any number of other chores. OCASIONALLY, we'll clean off cookie sheets if they get something baked on them that's hard to get off.

I'd never put on the the kitchen.
