I found this small Japanese place Okan last time I was there. Maybe the best Japanese I’ve ever had and not expensive. We had a table of 10 and tried everything with multiple pitchers and bill was only $600. Highly recommend.

Balboa Park is by far the best thing to do. The air museum and car museum were my favorites. You can get a GoCity pass for 1-2 days that allows unlimited access to all the museums there. Also includes SeaWorld and zoo. The zoo was great by the way. Coronado Island is pretty but it’s a lot of walking if you don’t have a car.
My favorite speakeasy there is Noble Experiment but make reservations now. Always booked up.
