The days of the US needing a stable world for trading passed decades ago, we have been in a trade deficit for decades, and every year it gets worse.

Oh there are the "new world economists" who tell us trade must always balance you silly goose its a simple accounting measure, it must balance each year there is no "trade imbalance".

Oh they are correct, we buy far more goods than we sell and the balance is made up in....cash. We buy goods from china and they buy, our land, our companies, influence in our govt and universities. And we see it in our daily lives.

While we piss away money on IDB, World Bank, UN, NATO, china builds infrastructure with loans, and takes the assets when payment is not made. Those same countries you speak of because of our benevolence laugh at us openly when we ask they pay their fair share. They scold us about our human rights while we protect them. They protect their markets while they exploit and devestate ours.

And our politicians help them with onerous taxes to drive our companies and future capitol offshore never to return.

If Europe wants nato let them have nato. We should save that money and form a balanced economic alliance with India. Far far far more beneficial to us than Sweden or Finland.
