Hi fark gods. 
I recently got a Mac and I'm looking for simple image editing software (free). I don't want/need anything fancy like photoshop, though. Just something to crop and brighten photos. I used to use Irfan View when I had a PC. Can y'all recommend anything? Thanks!

Here's a link to 140 mac image editing programs on Download.com.
You can filter out to only the free ones and sort them by user's ratings if you want.

I am now using ACDSee 10 on my computer. I have been using it for about 8 years. If you get a Pentax Digital Camera the Software comes with it but I download mine and it cost about $29 and I upgrade every time they have a new version. If you know someone with a Pentax Camera they probably have the ACDSee Disc.
