Probably lulled into a false sense of security from having successfully plied his trade in that area on previous occasions without problems.
But there's no percentage in challenging the odds by consciously swimming with sharks.
Couldn't have placed himself in a worse area, even though visually it's one of the more appealing areas in the city.
In proximity to the federally-funded Wildlife Preserve totally within the parish.
A place to encounter wildlife and catch black bass, but also not a safe place to go.
The pizza delivery places learned early on about redlining certain areas of the city in an attempt to lessen the threat to their people.
This should be done across the board by every company and let "the East" die of its own weight.
Now once again we're hearing about new "overtures" by posturers about developing the area that once held the Six Flags experiment in futility.

In fact, no entrepreneur in his right mind would attempt to develop that area into anything that wasn't gov't-funded.
