It's difficult to mention just one, but looks like most of the prime candidates I would consider were listed. Not sure, did anyone mention Frank Zappa? And speaking of Brian Wilson's brain, same could be said of Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd before LSD led him to be one of the first total acid casualties of the 60's. Would have been interesting to see how much longer LZ would have went on with Bonham. I think Kurt was already burnt out with Nirvana, but minus his drug problems, Layne Staley would have had a lot more to offer. Hank Sr. had too many demons, but besides Zappa, I would go with John Coltrane over Jimi Hendrix. Would Coltrane have gone electric or more of a Pharaoh Sanders direction? As for Hendrix, someone mentioned he may have likely gone in a more blues direction, which is probably true. But at the same time, if he did play with Miles Davis, would this have opened his eyes to more experimentation?
