Uh, Tulane and Canal are more or less parallel. They don't intersect. So take that warning with appropriate salt
But your geography continues to not really add up, suggesting a less-than-intimate knowledge of the area. Between the Windsor Court and the Saenger you don't quite get to Basin and Canal, and that's not what I'd call "next to Tulane", because the Tulane University medical center is mostly over on Tulane Ave. with a backside protrusion onto Canal a block or two further than the Saenger.
