Tara High School was 70-30 white in 2000

98-2 black in 2010

I remember a slow trickle out of the public schools for a long time. Woodlawn, Belaire, Lee, Tara, Broadmoor all used to be decent public schools.

Didn't they redraw the map for Tara? That's the most funky school district in the parish IIRC.

Tara still pulls from the same areas it did when I went there. Valley Park, Downtown Govt Street, etc.

In fact it should be whiter, considering the softening of proximity waivers, and Tara being in a mostly white neighborhood.
