re: Virginia Donors Demand $3.6 Billion From University for Removing Ancestor’s Name

Liberal alum/donors? Nope
Liberal politicians w state money? Nope
Liberal student body? Nope

It’s a small private school, they aren’t beholden to anyone.

My guess? Their reputation as a school for rich (tuition is insane for what it is) preppy white conservatives is well established. This is no secret. I imagine they’re trying to broaden their appeal/brand to get more students and this is a part of that effort.
