NASDAQ Futures question

Random question, but why is there a 300 point difference in the index and the futures of the index. All the other indices and their respective futures contracts seem to be aligned. They chart the same but the values just off. Always wondered why.
ETA: when markets are live… obviously understand why there would be a difference when regular market is closed.

Because the futures are on the Nasdaq 100 and the index you typically see quoted is the Nasdaq composite.
