So once again, these recall organizers clearly have no idea wtf they are doing.
I mean, no one else was doing shite and no one was likely going to do anything, so at least they are making the effort.
They have been all over the place with recall tents (I signed early as a result), they have been all over 870 am and on other media talking about it for months and they mailed recall ballots to everyone in New Orleans. Everyone knows about this effort including many outside of New Orleans (so it ain't like the message hasn't gotten out). The truth is that there are so many absolute dumbasses in New Orleans that the best recall effort in creation would still be challenging in New Orleans because the majority of the people are imbeciles.
The fact that they're claiming they are within 15,000 signatures of getting the total they need to force a recall (even if a number get thrown out and they don't get another signature) is a miracle in itself.

Recalls petitions are hard, no matter what.
Recall petitions managed by individuals who haven't run grassroots community or political campaigns (despite their self-professed titles) are harder.
Recall petitions without a well-known or very connected leader are almost impossible.
Been hearing rumors on why they haven't been releasing finance reports or official counts, not good things, but somewhat par for the course in Louisiana.
