They're trading trigger for launch, as in, launch a missile.
Jump the gun is not violent. It refers to the starter's pistol used in track races.
Bite the bullet is not violent. It refers to pain control pre-anesthesia.
Some of the rest of this is pretty lame. If these phrases "trigger" a person, it's their problem, not the speaker's.

That is always the case. Being “triggered” is a fi ruin if the hearer. I may not like what someone says and find it offensive but if it leads me to distress, that is my problem, not theirs.
