This will eventually (if it hasn’t already) morph into needing to take a pill to wake up, take a pill to go to sleep, take a pill to eat, take a pill to relax, etc….

It’s a slippery slope that I’ve seen many friends go down, and sadly, I haven’t seen any of them snap out of it until something bad happens or until everything they love in life is threatened to be taken away from them
