He had been held for a long time. They were holding him but couldn’t subdue him and couldn’t cuff him. He continued to ignore their demands to “give them his hands.” So the Baton came out, three blows to the body. I feel there can be a discussion over whether or not use of the Baton was a warranted escalation, especially given how long the whole episode had gone on and he had already been pepper sprayed then tazed multiple times.

Now, the punches to the head and, moreover, kicks to the head after he was cuffed and on ground are indefensible.
