How about instead break into quarter or trimester system and don't have a 3 month long summer break that disrupts building of learning and family patterns?

I don't know why Louisiana doesn't do the 3 month long break in the Spring or Fall when the weather is much nicer.
Kids these days don't want to be outside in July and August heat.
