As a working class American, I can say that we bought insurance from the govt. insuring a minimal income in our advanced age. What the numbers here don't show is how many workers die before the get back a dime. We buried two 64 year old's within the last couple of months and many more around retirement age. We lose them in the 40 to 60 year old range by the handfuls constantly where we are. I am sure this goes on everywhere. The system took this into account when they handed out this money yo those who never paid in a dime.
