A lot of these churches are just social advocacy organizations now.

Now why people go to "churches" to hear banal social justice platitudes with Christian flavoring when they probably get the same things on social media, TV, Hollywood, etc. - I don't know.

They want to belong but they want the group to conform to their beliefs...

The ecumenical churches in my region are more social justice education centers than they are spiritual places.
