I think this is a little bit of revisionist history. Not everyone was sold on Jamarcus but nobody said it was a crazy pick.

The Lions and Browns had John Kitna and Derick Anderson as starting QBs respectively…the odds that either pass on Jamarcus were very low.

Pretty much this.

And there was also an expectation that whoever was not taken between him and Brady Quinn would still go in the top 5-10. Quinn falling to Cleveland at 23 was a major shock on par with Aaron Rogers going from potential first overall to the 20s to the Packers.

Lifelong masochist…errr, I mean Raiders fan. I wanted to throw my tube TV out the window when we picked jabustus. That’s when many Raiders fans realized Al was cooked and had lost his mind. There were a few that tried to polish that turd, but he was dumb as a rock and had no chance of becoming a championship caliber QB.
