Deion is basically cosplaying as what he thinks top coaches do.
The most obvious example was this summer when reporters called him Deion and he demanded to be called Coach or Coach Prime. And that no one would ever dare call Nick Saban as simply “Nick”.
And then people immediately pulled up videos of every sports writer in Alabama calling Saban “Nick” in press conferences and Saban responding in a completely natural manner.
I also guarantee that Saban, Coach K, Poppovich, etc don’t start staff meetings with prayers. I can certainly see Dabo and Freeze doing that though.
Also the idea that coaches give pep talks to low level support staff like janitors, equipment managers, etc and that the top teams have more dedicated low level support staff than the worst teams is something that maybe 12 year olds and extremely naive adults believe.
