Doc- Pride is in a thread on the MSB saying the fact Hamlin was released after only 9 days is proof that it was caused by the hit and not because of any pre-existing condition. Is that statement true? How long do people who have major heart attacks usually stay in the hospital?

No.
To the contrary, the fact it took 9 days is indicative of a prolonged secondary issue (or issues). Those could be d/t anything from preexisting cardiac pathology to resuscitative trauma/complication.

Regardless, 9 days is a long time.
By comparison, patients often leave the hospital 7 days after coronary bypass surgery.
