This article is nothing more than fear-mongering trash.

The subtle foundation is that the existence of firearms is why we have so much crime, as if Cain shot Abel in the head with an AR.

Firearms are a tool. No one looks at a firearm and thinks "I'm going to commit this crime only because this firearm exists". It's like saying obesity is caused by forks.

Instead of focusing on the tool, how about focusing on the proliferation of the mindsets which lead more and more people to commit crimes in the first place.
