If you never read the wait but why blog on AI LINK how long before someone has an AGI that gets access to the internet and quickly becomes ASI? It’s a scary time to be alive.

I hate to be the one to say this but it’s already happened. In one of my masters courses, one of our guest lecturers was the original founder of KAYAK.com He had connected his Amazon Alexa to GPT-3 and was going to give us a live, in class demonstration of how chat AI had improved. His live demo didn’t go great because the admins must have realized that it was wide open to the web and pulled the plug, but he had recorded videos of himself interacting with the AI through his Alexa. The AI’s answers weren’t spectacular, though the point was made that this has had access to the internet.
