We picked up her meat yesterday… that’s when the reality sets in that you/they’ve provided something real and tangible together.
I can remember the smell of the rifle fire when I killed my first deer at 8 years of age. I’m 40 now. Some things last with us forever.

Such an awesome story Tune. Congrats to you and your baby girl. My son is 16 and shot his first at 10yrs old with me in the stand with him. Perfect double-lung from 124yds on a beautiful symmetrical 8pt. Better than any buck I've ever killed...lol. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Ha, exact same here. 40 and killed my first deer at 8. My mom and I both killed our first deer sitting in the same spot 24 years in between. My oldest is 5, he's going with me but just brings his bb gun to mess around with. Might see if he's ready for my old .243 next year
Congrats to you and your daughter
