re: Why do y’all care so much about stars and recruiting rankings?

There’s a reason Bama, OSU, Georgia are filled with 4 and 5 stars and consistently in the playoffs. Yes, developing the player certainly matters but if that is all that matters then recruit some local 3 stars that would love to play at Bama. They’d commit as soon as offered and it wouldn’t take a bag of cash. Why wouldn’t that work? Well there are other guys with more talent. Who are those guys? They’re the four and five stars.
